The leading journals ’ demand stern measures to enforce the demands, including the prolongation of the occupation of Rhineland, the reimpositon of the blockade, and the stoppage of the repatriation of prisoners. A strong military tone prevails in Paris. Premier Millerand informed the Deputies that nothing would be allowed to interfere with the prosecution of the Allies’ demands. The latest news from Berlin states that Noske, in a proclamation, appeals to the people to preserve their dignity and not molest the Allies’ mission.
