I Minister of War Tanaka, replying to Kin interpellation in Parliament, said he ■was unable to state with certainty that ■the Japanese expeditionary forces would ■be withdrawn from Siberia after the ■withdrawal of the Czechs. ■ Tanaka and Kato (Minister of the ■Naw) insisted that Japan’s military ■programme should remain unchanged ■after peace, because it was intended Kor self-defence, not aggression. ■ Baron Uchida stated that the Allies Hid not intend to recognise the Bol■sbeviks.
