INDIAN FRONTIER TROUBLE

” FCRFHER FIGHTING LIKELY. (Reuter.) Received January 31. 2.30 p.m. DELHI, January 30. Official reports state that the now Tashkar of the Waziris has proceeded to join the Maksuds in Barari Tongi. The present- position appears to be that the Mahsuds Maliks arc unable to exercise authority over the tribesmen. Certain sections have handed in all fines and rifles, and a genuine desire for peace is manifested among others, but the irreconcilables in-the Tanak V alley, possessing rifles, are apparently inclined to fight- to the end rather than surrender. Therefore, further opposition is expected.
