Received January 31, 10.50 a.m. LONDON, January 30. The Pall Mall Gazette understands that four aviation firms Tickers, Beardm-ore, Shortt, and Armstrong and Whitworth—are forming a combine for the purchase of the surplus Government super-airships for the purpose of establishing regular world-wide passenger voyages, primarily aimed at the linking up of all parts of the Empire. The first experiments will be between England, Scandinavia, and Holland, and it is expected 'ater to accomplish voyages from London in the following times: To New York in 21 days; San Francisco, days; Cairo, If days; Colombo, todays ; Perth, 7 days, Nairobi, 2f days; and Capetown, 5.V days Air liners will be fitted with sleeping cabins above the main saloon, in which seats will he fitted similar to Pullman cars, and a smoldng-rocm will also be provided.
