Last evening a 75 yards handicap was run off on Cook's Gardens, under the auspices of the Wanganui A.A. Club. There wore five starters, and the race was an excellent one, R. Dains, 5 yards, winning by a few inches from R. Phillipson, 5 yards. F. Packer and J. Lynch, 1 yard each, and R. Darby, 3 yards, were the other starters, and they finished in lino just behind the other two.
