Might 1 push too allegory a little further and remind him that a new-bom infant wants a good deal of attention—cleansing, and so oil.. Its diet for some considerable time consists of milk and pap, and, after several years have elapsed, its education and manners have to he taken in hand—sometimes a judicious application of the stick is necessary, etc., etc.— I am, etc..
