Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, ’ SYDNEY, January 28. Showers again interrupted tennis. In the singles championship of Australia the final resulted in an eaf?y win for Kingscote, who defeated Pockley (New South Wales), 6-4, 6-0, 6-3. In the semi-final, Anderson and Lowe beat Peach and Bice, 6-2, 7-5, 8-6. MELBOURNE, Tanuary 29. In the doubles semi-finals, Thomas and O’Hara Wood beat Kingscote and Beamish, 8-6, 6-4, 7-5.
PROPOSED CHANGES IN RULES. OBJECTIONS BY U.S. ASSOCIATION. NEW YORK, January 27. Mr George Adee, president of the United States National Lawn Tennis Association, states that he disapproved of the proposed charges in the tennis rules, such' as foot faults and the scoring system, on the ground that they would interfere with the United State’ position in international matches.
