General Maurice, writing in the Daily News, says a clear policy for dealing with Bolshevism is essential. At present we have Mr Lloyd George’s, Mr Churchill's, and Lord French’s policies. The three will not mis. The dread of a Bolshevik irruption into Western Europe has led M. Clemencean to adopt the policy of the barbed wire fence, but the fence was pushed too war. Poland and other Eepnbiics took the opportunity to peg out new claims. This must stopped. The Bolsheviks within two months can overwhedn Poland, and, if this happens, the position will be appallingly serious. While the territory of Soviet Russia is exposed to invasion, the Nationalist feeling will be intense, bnt this will decline if Russia be given clothing and machinery. The great mass of Russians want peace.
