MAETON v. WANGANUI. An inter-club cricket match was played on Cook’s Gardens yesterday between teams representing the Marten and Wanganui Clubs, and resulted in a win for the local club by 110 runs on the first innings. The visitors batted first on a wet wicket, and compiled 130, six getting double figures. Wanganui replied with 240, the feature being an innings of 147 (not out) by K. H. Cave. ' A junior representative match was commenced on Hurworth School grounds this morning between teams representing Orona and Wanganui. Wanganui batted first and knocked up 70 runs, Glover 39 runs and Greener 13 being the only double-figure scorers. Oroua*g first innings was not completed when the luncheon adjournment was taken, but the visitors had compiled 104 runs for seven wickets.
