CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING IN MARCH. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. At the Rifle Championship Meeting to be held at Trentham in. March next, the programme provides for service teams’ matches, individual service matches, the championship series of nine matches, and several other competitions, including the King’s Prize; the total prize money being £I6OO. Returned soldiers and sailors and Senior Cadets are provided for, as separate prizes have been allotted, and a special Cadet competition is fixed for Saturday, 6th March. Colonel Collins anticipates over 500 entries for the meeting. The .303 magazine rifle issued from the Defence stores, or those of like pattern and subject to approval of the executive, may be used. Match barrels are prohibited. The meeting will commence on Thursday, March 4th, and continue for a week.
