ALIENS IN BRITAIN.

EXCLUDED FOR THREE YEARS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, November 15. In the House of Commons an amendment .was moved to the Aliens Bill to exclude former enemy aliens from the United Kingdom for seven years instead of the Government’s proposed two years. Mr E. Sliortt (Secretary of State for Home Affairs) offered three years as a Qompromise, and this was carried. A new clause was also carried prohibiting former enemies having an interest in British land, key industries or shipping during the same period. The Bill was passed.
