Mr Frank Collis, of Argyle Street, Wanganui, and formerly of . Kairanga, who went away with the Main Body and put in 4-j- years’ seryice with the Expeditionary forces, is the recipient of a handsome gold medal and sovereign case from the residents of Kairaiiga, as a memento and token of their appreciation of the services he rendered during the great war. ,- Mr Collis is also a recipient of the military medal, and won sergeant’s stripes on the field.

Constable Willis, of Hawera, has been transferred to Waitotara, where he will succeed Constable Breen, who has retired;
