Commencing with the New Tear, the Savings Branch, Chief Post Office, Wanganui, will re-open from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. cn Fridays, instead of Saturdays, for the receipt of Savings Bank deposits.

Papers to iand by to-day’s Australian mail gives details of some school events held there lately. The best time there was 11 sec for the 100 yards, this on a. fast track with spiked shoes.
