RUSSIAN SITUATION.
BOLSHEVIK ADMISSIONS. (Reuter.) Received October 25, 2.5 p.m. STOCKHOLM, October 23. Trotsky, in a manifesto, states that Bt Moscow the position is critical. The Red troops have retired to Pulkovo, the extreme limit of the defences of Petrograd, and further retirements would transfer the fighting te the city. Trotsky says their tanks are now supporting the Red troops, who have rallied, hut the enemy is only one march from Petrograd. York on the fortifications must be continued, and the defence of the city organised.
