At a stop-work meeting of bootmaking operatives owing to dissatisfaction in the recent arbitration award, it was resolved that the meeting endorses the resolution passed by the Union calling upon the Federation to conduct a ballot of members on the question of cancelling he gist ration under tire Industrial, Conti liation, and Arbitration Act that three representatives be elected 'to approach the local hoot manufacturers with a view to seeking an increase in wages, and that if uhable to secure an increase, tbe executive be empowered.to call another mass meeting. _ 1
