PERSONAL.
Advice has been received in Wanganui of the death of 'Mrs Eden H. Babbage, at Roeeville, Sydney, N.S.W., on the 22nd ult. Mr E. H. Babbage will be remembered by many old residents as manager of the Bank of Australasia here for some years in the "eighties." He was afterwards inspector for-Queens-land and New South Wales. The name of Alfred Amos Gray, of Keith Street, Wanganui, should have been "starred" in the recent ballot list, as he enlisted and was in camp for some time, but was discharged owing to illhealth.
