There is a fair attendance. Results: — Jumpers' Flat—Prince Delaware 1, Sir Solo 2, The Summit 3. Scratched: Multieipal'and Combustion. Won easily. Time, 2.45. St. Leger Stakes—Kilboy 1, Bjorneborg 2. The. Toff 3. The only starters. Won by five lengths, three lengths between second and third. Time, 3.9 2-5. Pluuket Nursery Handicap—Elocution 1, Ronnie Maid 2, Kill'cm 3. Scratched: Kilflinn, Lady Mjlehreest, and Street Singer. Won by a neck, a head between second and third. Time, 1.2 2-5. Thompson Handicap—Shrill 1. Fiery Cross 2. Form Up 3. Scratched: Sasanof, Chakwana, Koesian, Bjorneborg, Beltane. Won bv three lengths. Time, 1.42 4-5. SOUTH CANTERBURY MEKTING. TIMAKU, April 19. The autumn meeting of the South Canterbury J.C- opened to-day in perfect weather. Results:— Otipua Hurdles—-Compulsion 1, Master Hamilton 2. Peerless 3. Scratched: Golden Rupee. Won by ten lengths. Time, 2.47 1-5. Roswill Handicap—Sppctual 1, Charley 2, Minesweeper 3. Scratched: Finless, Trcmena, Triple Entente, and Lady Bullcr. Time, 1.2 2-5. A MEETING ABANDONED. OAMARU, April 10. Owing to the Railway Department's decision not to carry racehorses, the committee of the North Otago Jockey Club have decided to abandon the proposed meeting to be feeld next week.
