AMUSEMENTS AND MEETINGS

THE GRAND THEATRE, Wanganui picture patrons should not miss the opportunity this evening of seeing Maurice and Florence Walton, who will appear in the film “The Quest of Life,” which is described as the novelty hit of the season. The celebrated Apache Dance, which is reproduced in “The Quest of Life,” was created, by Maurice after he had seen the crude performance in Paris. The picture itself is wonderful, containing mg dramatic moments, from which iff developed a little tragedy, a great deal of romance, and in the end happiness. The supporting pictures include a complete tour of the island of Jamaica-; “Her Ley,” a complete domestic drama; the .Australian Picture News shows reviews of reinforcements, tire Adelaide Dog Show, and the children's schools’ annual display. The attraction for Thursday will be “Peg o’ the Pang.” Patrons to-night should be seated at 7 o clock sharp to see the full programme. DRUIDS" EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. The usual fortnightly euchre party will be held in the Druids’ Hall at 7.30 this evening, and after cards and supper dancing will be indulged in until midnight. Good prizes have been provided for euchre winners, and points will count for the season’s aggregate. Mr H. Hooker will fulfil the duties of M.C.
