ROLL OF HONOUR.

Mr F. J. Chapman, of Nelson, received word last week that his fifth son, Frederick, who wa* serving in France, had died, of wounds on the 2nd inst. The deceased was a jeweller, and worked with Mr Frank Harford in. Nelson, later removing to Wanganui, where he enlisted with the Ninth Reinforcements. He took part with the Infantry in the Somme offensive, coming through unscathed. He then had short leave, and on his return to the front met his brother Charles with the Seventh fieinforcemente Artillery. He was a very popular young man both in Nelson and "Wanganni. When laat heard from by letter he wa.s serving with the Ambulance Corps, assisting the doctors in first aid duties.
