PATRIOTIC POLICE.

The following letter speaks for itself: Wanganui, November 2, 1915. Mr A. Burnett, Battle of Bullion Committee. Dear Sir,—l am in receipt of your circular re giving a lump sum or a monthly contribution to the Wanganui Patriotic Funds. Perhaps you and the general public are not aware that the police gav: a lump sum, and since theu have beer, contributing a monthly sum, and have promised to continue same till the war is over. It mav interest you to know that the contributions in the Wanganui Police District arc only exceeded by the very much larger police districts of Auckland and Canterbury. Apart from that I have, with the assistance of my wife, been continually doing my share towards the patriotic funds. Under these circumstances I do not sec my way clear at present to make a further large donation. I will, however, continue to help the funds.—l remain, etc., C. A. W. WILSON.
