PROFESSOR SEDLITZ’S CASE.
PLACES HIMSELF IN HANDS OF COLLEGE COUNCIL. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 1. Professor Von Zedlitz has sent a letter to the chairman of Victoria College Council in Avhich, after reviewing the campaign against uira, he places himself unreservedly in the hands of the Council te tafc? any course they please towards him. He denies that he is a German subject, and states that ho has taken the oath of allegiance to Queen Victoria, Edward Ttn and George sth, and would do so again if permitted, but in view of the fact that irresistible pressure is threatened against the College Council by the highest authority in the country he feels it due to the Council, that be should place himself in their hands. ■
