(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. September 1. At the AV.C-T.U. conference to-day an Invitation from the branch for the convention of 1913 was accepted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President 'Mrs. Crabb: secretary, Mrs. Spearman; and treasurer, Mrs. Homeder. Resolutions were passed requesting the. Minister of Public Health to take fur-‘ thcr steps to protect food, especially meat and fish from pollution by dust and flies, while on sale, also drawing the attention of the Minister of Justice to the increasing frequency of criminal assaults upon little girls.
