(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 30. Mr I'. F. Munro, merchant, of Wellington, who is a native of Westport, who was the plaintiff in the slander action settled out rt C urt last week, announces his intent hn to donate the amount of damages paid, less expenses, to. the Wounded Soldi r,' Fund cf the Duller district. It ii estimated the amount will be over £::oo. In the case in question, £IO,OOO damages were claimed, the case being settled by tho parties before it was called in the Court.
