Dominion libel action, Mr Justice lie? king said the true meaning of the article complained of was for the jury to determine not for him. He had nothing whatever to say as to whe'her it was in fact libel or not. The jury retired at 11.45. THE ISSUES. WELLINGTON, March 7. The judge placed the following issues before the jury: (1) Was the article in question published of, and concerning, the plaintiff company? (2) Is the article defamatory? (3) Is the article fair and bona fide comment on matter previously published by the Times in the newspaper put in evidence? (4) 11 defamatory and not fair comment, to what damage is the plaintiff company entitled?
