DUNEDIN J.C. MEETING. FIRST DAY. DUNEDIN. February 18. The Dunedin Cup meeting was opened in glorious weather. The attendance promises to be a record for the Wingatui >.imr.se, which Is in good order. Lord Liverpool is present. Results:— Hurdles—Daylight Bill 1, Jack Ashore 2, Pure Gold 3. Scratched: Bravest, Simon Bure, and Silver Monarch. Jack Ashore made a tine run in the straight, which brought him into second place. Won by two lengths, a length and a half between second and third. Gladbrook Handicap—Rcval (Reid) 1, Frigid 2, Scotch Melody 3. Scratched; Moonglow. Miss Kellerman-, and Duller. A great finish, a head separating the placed horses. Time, 1.29 4-5.
