CANADIAN WOMEN WANT THE VOTE.
OTTAWA, May 7. . The National Council of Women’s annual conference at Montreal decided to support women’s suffrage. A leaturo of the gathering was an-address by Mrs Loathes, of Toronto, dealing with reforms effected in New Zealand by means of women’s votes. -

.. The fact that the women’s suffrage movement is in a worse position than a year ago is ascribed be the newspapers as -largely due to militancy. The Westminster Gazette states that Parliament. felt that if it passed Mr Dickinson’s Bill it would bo acting in the teeth of public opinion. Yesterday’s majority against the Bill included many members who favour a small number of women voters, but not six million forthwith.

' LONDON, May 7. A watchman discovered an ignited bomb on the real, altar of St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Another was discovered in a doorway in Bcuverie Street. ! A policeman conveyed this to the Daily News office immersed in water.
