Sir James Crichton Browne, presiding ■at a meeting in support of tho Child Emigration Society, which deals with those under the control'of the Poor Law Guardians, remarked that by medical selection children could ho sent out with absolute confidence and become a very valuable asset of the dominions. Colonials had waste lands; we had waste humans. Let them be brought together for the Empire’s good. Mr. W.lialley, organising secretary, stated that West Australia was willing to share the cost of the scheme.
