GREYMOUTH’S STIPENDIARY MAGISTRATES.
A SEND OFF AND A WELCOME. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 4. At the send-off to Mr Cook, S.M.', Sir Arthur Guinness and Mr Hanan, representing the Law Society of Westland, convey ed sincere expressions of regret at the departing Magistrate’s early removal. His decisions had always been unquestioned by the Bar and suitors, and they had hoped he would make a long stay in Qreymouth. Mr Crook acknowledged the courtesy always extended to him, gnd thanked them sincerely. Mr Hewitt, the new S.M., was welcomed by Sir A. Guinness'. He acknowledged that if he gave as much satisfaction as Mr Crook he would be delighted.
