Beat the butter and sugar to a cream, then add the yolks of the eggs well beaten, sift in the flour and baking powder, add the fruit, ghrod the peel, then add it, then add the milk, the whites pf eggs stiffly beaten, mix gentlv, pour into a buttered and floured cake tin. Bake in a moderate oven for two hours. This is an excellent cake to serve with “Dragon” brand tea. This tea is one of the popular brands on the market, the others being “Elephant,” “Crescent,” and “Mikado” blends, either of which will please the palate. The “Dragon” blend is very rich and very economical in the teapot. It is very strong, and less of the tea must be used as compared with other teas to obtain a given amount of liquor.
