CORELLI'S DEBUT.

DANCES WITH BEARDLESS YOUTHS And Annoys the Women. LONDON', Juno 28. M iss Mar io Corelli, tho novelist, who has boon for many years a hermit at her home. Mason Croft, Stratford-on-Avon, appeared in society last evening. Her debut was quite unheralded.

She attended the fancy dross ball of tho Koval Society of Water-colour Painters.

During the evening she danced with many journalists, and this caused some surprise, as Miss Corelli is known to abhor the profession. She had a number of beardless youths as her dancing partners.

The women illustrators were distinctly annoyed to hear the distinguished novelist announce that she ..id not care to meet any of the women, preferring tho mens’ company.
