JAPAN'S DISLIKE.
AMERICA GETS MOST OF IT. Wrath Over Chinese Lean. ANCOUVEE,' Juno 28. The Seattle Times says that it is apparent that America is bearing the brunt of Japan’s opposition to the four-Power subscription of China’s new loan of six millions. The loan is at 5 per cent., and allotments of equal amounts were made to Great Britain, Germany, France, ami Amerca. The amounts were h.eavlv overeubserbed n London and Berln mmcdatelv. the subscription lists being closed almost as soon as they were opened.
The operations have been taken as o serious affront by the Japanese. At a recent meeting of the Pacific fo ciety. Dr Hasagawa delivered a vehement tirade against the United States. He declared that the fact of China being backed by America was the solo cause of the unfriendly attitude adopted hy the Chinese towards Japan on every matter which con cerned the two nations. He also stated that the anti-Japanese feliug in China F becoming acute.
