A deputation representing the )hr-r- Brigades’ Association waited on thv Bon, Mr Buddo to-day, and placed before him the resolutions passed by the recent conference. In reply, the Minister approved of tb suggestion that the Government should issue a set of model building regulations, to which municipalities should “tune” tbeir by-laws. The proposal would be considered in connection with any Town Planning Bill introduced. He did not think there was any need for revoking the requirement that one-third of the ratepayers should record their votes before any poll on a proposal to establish a Board eould lie valid. Ho promised to convey to the Minister of Education a suggestion that charts should be. placed in schools, and instruction given in simple elementary rules dealing with outbreaks of fire. Other matters referred to would also receive consideration.
