N Z. SOCIALIST PARTY.

(Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, April 17. The New Zealand Socialist Party held I heir fourth annual conference to-day. Delegates were present from different parts of New Zealand. Mr J. W. Munro (Dunedin) presided. The Conference drew up and adopted a platform on the lines of that of the New Zealand Federation -of Labour. It was decided to merge the Socialist paper Commonweal with the Alaoriland Worker. A. resolution was passed upholding the efforts of the Christchurch branch in the direction of maintaining freedom of speech. The Conference also passed a resolution advocating the teaching of the principles of peace in State schools. The next conference will be held in Wellington.

The Christchurch branch was appointed the executive body for the coining year.
