RESIDENTIAL CHAMPIONSHIP. The Wanganui Tennis . Association has decided to hold a Wanganui residential championship singles each for men and women. The conditions are—Competitors must be bona title members of one of the local clubs, and must have resided within 12 miles of the Wanganui Post.Office for the .three months previous to the dale of closing of entries. Entrance fees, 3s for men, 2s for ladies; men's games to be. the best of three sots adv., and ladies’ nine games up adv. Challenge enp to be held for one year and medals to go to winners each year. Entries closo with the secretary of the Association to-morrow (Wednesday), 22nd March. Any player not ready to go on the courts within 15 minutes after the time appointed for a match will be scratched. All matches to bo under,the control of the Wanganui Association. Messrs Strouts, McCarthy! and Ooldsbury were appointed a match committee to manage the competition.
