THE TARIFF DISPUTE. Press Association.—Telegraph.-—Copyright. '• Received January 27, 8.0 a.m. LONDON, January 26. The Morning ,Post’s Washington correspondent says that the real difficulty between America and Germany is not the .admission of American meat, but Washington’s demand for the “most favoured nation" treatment, otherwise the maximum .will be enforced in the new tariff. Germany has repljed that she is willing to grant the “favoured- nation” tariff, provided America by treaty will define the duties payable on German importations.
