LAWN TENNIS.

The Marton Lawn Tennis Club were unfortunate in striking bad weather for the annual tournament last Friday, consequently some of the events were not finished. The Wybourjie brothers won the men’s championship doubles, beating Adams and Fitzherbert in the final. M. C. Wybourne accounted for the men’s championship singles by defeating Adams. Miss Cave won the ladies’ championship singles, meeting Miss Newcombe in the final. Adams and MiSs Newcombe, by beating Ross and Miss Cave, won the 'combined championship doubles. In the men’s handicap singles Tnke plays Hedditch this afternoon on the Campbell Street courts, and the winner meets Frost in the final. Adams and Fitzherbert won the handicap doubles from Ross and Clarke. Miss Newcombe lias to ■play Miss Powell to complete the ladies’ handicap singles, and Misses Cave and Newcombe beat Misses Swan and Powell last evening in the final of the handicap doubles. Hay and Miss Powell defeated Ross and Miss Cave in the semi-final for the combined handicap, and have still to meet Take and Miss Newcombe. Drew won the second grade men’s singles after beating Smith in the final. A match is being arranged between Aramoho and Queen’s Park 11. team to be played on the latter club’s courts on Saturday afternoon.
