GONVILLE v. ARAMOHO
The match between the Aramoho and Gonville clubs on the courts of the latter on Saturday afternoon resulted, after a closely fought and interesting contest, in a win for the Gonville Club by 9 sets to 8. The courts were playing very well and some of the sets proved very even. The following are the detailed scores (Gonville being mentioned first) : — Gents' Singles — Pownall 6 v. Marshall 9, Bignell 9 v. Webley 5, P. D. Jones 11 v. Rev. Patchett 9, Barkman 10 v. Wagstaff 8, Brown 5 v. Lane 9, Webb Jones 5 v. Morrin 9.

A Singles Handicap tournament is being held amongst the lady members of the Gonvillp Club for a trophy presented by the Captain. All lady players have been entered and the first round is to be played off by Saturday next.
