WEATHER FORECAST. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 23.
Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates's weather forecast: — Moderate to strong easterly winds and fair weather are probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, and northerly winds with changeable conditions, though generally fine, elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall slowly in the southern districts, and a change may be expected shortly in those districts, freshening winds and more cloudy weather heralding an area of low pressure from the westward.
