Second Ballots.

Necessary in 22 Electorates. WELLINGTON, November 18. The Chief Electoral Officer states that on present appearances twenty-two second - ballots will be required, in the 'following electorates: — Wellington South, East, North, and suburbs; Dunedin North; Ashburton, Palmerston, Wanganui, Manawatu, Hawke's Bay, Geraldine, Ohinemuri, Timaru, Egmont, Tuapeka, Pahiatua, Gisborne, Hurunui, Bay of Plenty, Avon, Waitemata, and Nelson. All these take place on Tuesday next, except in the cage of the Bay of Plenty, but in one or two rases, such a+ Nelson and Gisborne, the necessity of another ballot may disappear when the absent votes are all received.
