The executive council of the New Zealand Defence Forces Rifle Association is now preparing for the annual Dominica rifle meetirig-lor 1909, which takes place at Trentham, commencing on the 41 h March, and finishing on the 13th March. The programme is now under consideration of the Council, and will soon, as agreed "P^^fef^isgued. In. addition to the usual $$j£ppßOfcßelt series, several new service- matches will be' introduced, and the teams matches will form an important feature of the meeting. Colonel Collins, executive officer, desires it made known that second and thrdi class targets will be circular, in accordance with the Bisley regulations, and that the Council of Defence has sanctioned the adoption of the recent Bisley regulation a 9 to back sights of service rifles. The ammunition to be used is being specially manufactured by the Colonial Ammunition Company, and win be branded "Trentham."
