Shooting Affair near. Ashburton

(Per Unjted Press Association). ASHBURTON, October 2. A peculiar shooting affair was reported to the police this morning. It appears that William McClimont, a resident of Mount Somers, on answering a knock at his door last night, was confronted by a tall man who ordered him to put up his hauls, at the same time threatening him with a revolver. McClimont immediately attempted to shut the door, and the visitor fired, the ball grazing McClimont's car. lhe miscreant then decamped. Investigations are proceeding.
