The Mataura Fire

Insurances

(Per United Press Association). GORE, April 6.

On the Mataura fire, additional insurances are: — Watson's plant and stock, ,£2OO in the New Zealand, and on the building, owned by G. J. Penny, .£175 in the New Zealand. On Hardy and Domigan's premises, owned by R. D. Yule, £250 in the New Zealand, damage estimated at <£25. On Mackay and Dr Hay's premises, also owned by Yule, .£6O in the New Zealand; on Welham and A. Gait's premises, owned by J. Wallis and Waddell, .£4OO in the South British and i>lso in the Royal.

J. and J. Gait estimate their loss at .£SOO, A. Gait at .£l7O, Welham Bros, at .£l5O, Watson at .£IOO, Penny at JIOO over insurances, and Hardy and Domigan lost considerably through the shifting of stock. Mackay was uninsured, and his loss is <£25.
