Bush Fatality.
TAURANGA, April 6.
Later particulars of the accident which recurred on the Kaiir.ai estate on Saturday, by which a man named Jules Percy Murray lost bis life, show that deceased was working with Mr A. B. Stubbings' survey party, in charge of Mr R. Page, and was engaged in clearing the branches of a tree on the lines, when a branch which he was cutting split and struck him a violent blow .on the forehead, knocking him Jinto a creek about 12 feet below. Mr Page, who witnessed the accident, rescued Murray, from the water. Seeing that he was seriously injured he sent word into town. The injured 'nan was carried out on an improvised stretcher, being met later by Mr Stubbings and Dr Forager Hurst. An examiration by the latter revealed the fact that the patient was suffering from laceration of the brain, and on being brought into town . deceased lingered until 4 o'clock on Sunday'morning, when he died without having regained consciousness. An inouest was held this morning, a verdictof accidental death being returned. De* ceased leaves' a widow and seven children, the eldest of whom is 15 years of age.
