(fer United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 30. Th»» Appeal Court opened to-day, Justices Williams, Denniston, Ecjwards, Cooper, and Chapman being present. The Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, wir#l that he was unable to attend owing to pressure of works on the Native Commission, and Mr Justice Williams, therefore, presided.

Four new case** were added to the list, but none will be taken till to-morrow afternoon.

In re Moore (deceased), the Court-award-ed costs ,£6O, both on appeal and on petition, considering" that they had full power to do so. and this was an instance in which it should be exercised. Leave was given the Crown to appeal to the Privy Council.
