Fourch Round. — Section A : Wellington 20 beat Dannevirke 19, St. John's 31 beat Napier (Smith) 11, Palmerston *N. (Brophy) beat Greenmeadows (Crowley) 12, Palmerston North (Pickering) 23 beat Marton 13. Section B: Greenmeadows (Badley) 20 beat Bluff Hill 17, Gisborne 32 beat Hastings 13, Napier (Bull) 29 beat Masterton 19, Palmerston North (Bunting) a bye.

Fifth Round.— Section A: Wellington 29 beat Marton 20, Napier (Smith) 29 beat Palmerston North (Brophy) 12, St. John's 23 beat Dannevirke 20, Greenmeadows (Crowley) 22 beat 'Palmerston North (Pickering) 15.
