PARIS, February 18
M. Viviani, French Minister of Labour, in the Senate acknowledged that it was impossible for the State to contribute above four milliou sterling annually for old age pensions. The Government was wilting to fix that amount, and so save the Bill. The- latter based the workmen's contribution at 2 per cent of their wagers, the masters adding two per cent besides the State contribution.
