Man Shoot* His Wife and Attempts Suicide.

(Per United Pi«ss Association). CHRISTCHURCH, November 13. Some time ago a man named Hans Wilson attempted to murder his wife and was sent to a lunatic asylum. He was released recently, and was believed to have fully recovered his reason. He was prohibited, and was apparently behaving well, in is morning, however, he fired three shots at his wife, all taking effect, and the woman is dead, lie shut himself up in a room, and fired twice at his own breast. He was removed to the hospital, but hopes for hLi recovery are slight. He was aged 60, and has five children.
