Shocking Accident.
Young Woman Drowned.
AUCKLAND, November 11.
A young girl named Margaret Wright, aged 15, met with a shocking accident today. She was employed as a machine hand at the Defiance Clothing Factory, in Newtown Road, and while working there got her hair caught in a shaft, half the scalp being torn off. She was at once removed to the hospital, where she now lies in a very serious condition.
AUCKLAND, November 12.
A younw woman, aged about 20, known only as "Flora," who had been drinking on a scow with three men last night, jumped overboard and was drowned.
