Mr Henry Redwood. Father of the N Z. Turf.

(Per United Press Association.) BLENHEIM, November 12. Mr Henry Redwood, aged 87, a Nelson md Marlboroujh pioneer, known as the 'father of the turf and pigeon shooting," died at Blenheim on Saturday night. He was one of the first colonists to introduce the steam plough, which he employed on his farm at Spring Creek. He was the brother of Archbishop Redwood. The funeral to-day was largely attended. NEWPLYMOUTH, November 12. Obituary (on Sunday). — Mrs Rawson, aged 73, doughter of the Rev. John White'ey, who was massacred at White Cliffs, and widow of Dr T. E. Rawson, the leading medical practitioner of Taranaki 40 years ago. One of her sons is Judge Raw•on, of the Native Land Court.
