At a meeting of the Christchurch Tramways .Board yesterday alter noon a comprehensive report was presented by the Works and Traffic Committee dealing with the financial positios of the Board in view of the dtneiency which had accumulated during the winter months, amounting to £5008 at the end of August last. The committee recommended economies in the permanent way maintenance department, amounting to £628 annually, in the traffic department amounting to iS 1100. The report was approved.
